Trying to squeeze the most out of my photos, I'm starting to work with HDR, but it's not an easy medium to work with. Just takes time I guess.

I found this tiny flower on a 5ft high shrub growing just outside the right-hand door to the Botanical Gardens in Balboa Park. The flowers are so small, that although they were covering the plant, no one stopped to look. A shame really.

Some times you've just gotta shoot whatever pops up.

Caught this one while walking through the Botanical Gardens in Balboa Park the other day. The late afternoon sun was slicing down through the slatted roof, shining on the orchid, leaving the background dark. Couldn't resist. Surprisingly, a lot of people were walking past, without stopping to look. Wondered why they were there ;)

A lot of little gems to be found there. You've gotta start checking all the alleyways. Enjoy!

Another twist on the weeds behind the Library.

Just behind the library where I teach, there's a great little patch of weeds that really light up at sunset. Here's my first attempt. Enjoy.

Found this exhibit of Asian Umbrellas at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park. This great museum is free every 3th Tuesday and well worth checking out. Always some great finds.

An evening walk in Balboa Park

Another from my walk the other night in Balboa Park. Some guy walked up to me while I was composing this photo and told me there wasn't enough light to take a good photo. Maybe our ideas of a good photo are different.
